Mercedez first got her start back in 1988, at a club in Kalamazoo, MI called Brothers Beta Club. The person responsible for making me who I am today, as an entertainer was my drag mother. I met my drag mother... Sentury D'Alazandro, rest in peace, who embodied the female illusionist spirit I KNEW I had to strive for. She taught me everything I know, along with my sisters, Janet Iman and Pookie Dupree. I have many friends, whom I love and cherish a great deal. I stopped being a female illusionist 9 years ago, never to look back, after giving up my state title. I live my life drama free, and so should you. "Life "IS" a banquet, yet most poor suckers are starving to death!" So LIVE people.... I sure am! My sisters included Janet Iman, Pookie Dupree, Sentury D'Alazondro, Monet St. Croix my dearest Christian Dior and a host of others. I would not have grown as a performer if it weren't for them.
